I've colored my hair for many years, and would now like to let it be grey. Dye remover left me orange and yellow, and did nothing to the ends of my hair. I'm getting people staring at me. My office mates talked about me for days.

You have to be nicer to your hair!! At this point, your hair is over- processed and needs PROFESSIONAL help. Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, place another chemical on your own head. Go to a salon and have them color correct you. It will be more expensive than a normal cut and color, but at this point, you are risking losing all your hair and THEN what will your co-workers say about you?
