UGH, I accidentally bleached my hair when dying my roots. I thought the color on the box read "Beach Blonde", but it was actually called bleach blonde. My hair is usually a champagne blonde (by the bottle). A month ago I added low lights underneath and it turned out great. Last night I did my roots and now the top of my head (mainly the roots) is pure yellow. I always use shimmer lights to get gold tones out of my hair and I had a purple toner on stand by for when my hair gets brassy. I used the whole toner on the top half of my hair but it really didn't work that great. Now my hair is purple and yellow on the top. My roots are yellow, the bottom half of my bangs are purple/grey. then the middle to the bottom is my acheived color of choice, champagne and light honey brown (from the low lights). Help, i dont know what to do. Should I go buy lowlights and blend them in on the top to mix in the mess I created? Or do i need to head to Sally's for a dark toner of some sort?

Go to Sally's and consult with someone there, you will need them to refer you to the color chart, I believe that you should use a blonde with a violet base and it should pull the yellow out and turn it back to actual blonde. My mom did this about 2 wks ago and I just picked a violet base of the blonde that I wanted her to have and typed it with a 20 creme developer and it toned it down and brought it back to blonde. The hair stylist always yell at me for dying my hair with box color products from the store. I heard bleach is very damaging to your hair.

You should go to a good stylist and maybe then can fix your hair or make it look better.

i would highly suggest going somewhere to get it done and have their professional opion on it. it sounds like you are in HIGH HIGH risk of your hair breaking apart. mine ALWAYS does when i over bleach it and i won't notice it for atleast a month.

Iwould suggest you go to your local beauty school if you are trying to save money and let the students work on your hair....there will be a teacher who will supervise and it would be a very good learning experience for them....There is several steps to the process .. hope you get your problem straightened out..

Since you have a massive problem, it's not so easy to fix on your own. Go to a professional for color correction. You will be better off than trying to correct it yourself. You could get a darker toner and try it...just leave it on for 10-15 minutes and then pull it through your bangs for 7 mins and see what happens, but keep a good eye on it...the first sign of problems...rinse it out.
