I have Dark hair?

My hair is very dark...almost black..heavy think and corse....extremely straight, with no natural wave or curl....

I want to have it streaked with silver or grey....my question is, how involved is the process..and will it look as though is turning grey/silver due to age of will it look terribly fake??

why would you want to streak it with silver? Most women dye their hair to take the gray OUT. Yes, it would look like it's turning gray due to age. If you still want to do it, I suggest you go to the salon and have it done because dark hair does not take light colors very well at all. It will probably take a double processing, meaning you will be there at least 2 hours while they strip the color out of the hair you want dyed, then dye it.

It probably won't look good to tell the truth. It will turn out like this depending on how much you put in your hair; too little, you will look like you are aging. Too much, it will look fake %26amp; gothic. Although if you like the way it looks, thats really the only thing that matters.

I think they might end up looking like age streaks, unless, you are very young. I think you should have it cut and styled, not short, but layered a little, instead of colored.
