I've had the same hair style since I was about 13. And now im 17, im getting bored of it and want something different.

I don't have a picture, but my hair is long but layered, parted to the side, and it is my natural blonde/brown colour. I do like the length of my hair, I was thinking of going for a more 'choppy' look next time I have my hair cut whilest still keeping the length.

I have pale skin and grey blue eyes if it helps. Thanks x

I change my hair all the time, and I trust my hair dresser to give me a good cut. If you don't want a drastic change, part your hair on the other side. You could get cute side bangs too, if you want. Make sure you communicate with you hair dresser exactly what you want. A miscommunication could result in a nightmare, trust me.

Also, don't go for a drastic change, change your hair in steps so you won't hate it.

so what i do is

tell the stylist long choppy layers

keep the length but make the shortest layer right below the ear and get garnier fructise gel spray and make it look real cute

i had long hair when i was 18 and was bord so i got a pair of scissors and cut it myself really short,

i was devastated at the result and was never spontaneous with my hair again!

take my advice because it doesnt grow back overnight :)

Get layers could be an option, but since that won't do too much, consider getting suddle (or durastic) highlights. Getting them at the salon are expensive, but there are stores who sell "Do it Yourself" highlights.

Another solution is to get bangs, they always make things more interesting. Before getting them, ask the stylist if they will look good with your face-shape, because they can be bad if they are not "for you".

You could also buy some interesting headbands and clips, J. Crew has some great ones, cute and good quality.

keep the length, dye the underneath as close as you can to your natural colour , then have the top later dyed a nice shade of blond ( e.g. ash and get the ash layered, it works in three dimensions, girls look at you thinking ( wow ) boys look at you in a different light and you feel like you are on top of the world

What I did when I had this problem, was dyed it, and cut it into a different style than before. I went for the layered look (which sounds like you already have) but it looked loads better.

I recommend you just go for it. If you don't like it, it will grow back and the colour can be changed especially at a salon.

I had long blonde hair pretty much all my life. I was also bored with mines and cut it to be under my chin and dyed it auburn, and I love it! At first I misesed my old colour and style, but change does you good!

If you want to keep the length maybe go for long choppy layers, or have it really layered at the front so you can tie it back and have the illusion of short hair. Or if you are feeling brave you can cut it all off! (It's freaky at first, but then you get used to it).

Failing that, get loads of hair style mags and take a collection of pictures you like to a good salon and they can help you come up with something.

same thing i was goin through about that age. i had quite long hair but desided to chop it ALL off to about the neck with lots of layers. but if you want to keep your lenght then just go to your hairdressers and get advice about changing your whole hair style all together. hope that helps you with your hair problem.
