Grey leopard print pencil skirt..WHAT TO WEAR WITH IT? party.?

I've got a friend's bday party coming up soon and it's pretty dressy.

I'm a bit broke at the moment (but willing to save up) so I cant buy a whole new wardrobe so I rummaged through my wardrobe and found this skirt that I've been wanting to wear dressed up for ages!

It's a grey leopard print highwaisted pencil skirt from H+M.

Just above the knees.

I have some shoe ideas although I have no idea what top to wear with it.

I've seen alot of pencil skirts being worn with blouse/shirt but I dont really like that look for a party.

Has anyone got any ideas of what top I could wear with it?

Go for plain - but party. The skirt is quite bold so you don't want to over do it!

I'd go with a grey/silver camisole top if you can match the colour if not plain black.

even though u dont like shirts,they actually do go really well with pencil skirts!! get a longish black shirt nd try find a grayish big belt that sits just under ur bust,and definately heels!! just my opinion!!:)

It would look great with a black or white plain tank top or if you want to be adventurous then maybe try a bold coloured top like hot pink or bright blue... and to be honest tank tops aren't that expensive.

You could make it look a bit more dressier by adding a chunky coloured waist belt if your wearing a black top ... or wear a black waist belt if wearing a coloured top with a black necklace!

Well, your link to the skirt also gives you some ideas of what to wear with it, but here goes.

How about a simple black turtle neck, black boots, and some silver jewelry. Or, a black lacy off the shoulder top ( I'm thinking your grease inspired theme here), dark hose and some strappy black heels. You might also want to do something silvery, like a silvery tailored shirt? Kinda hard to tell exactly from that pic the shade of grey in the skirt.

Whatever you choose, I'd definately make it 'all about the skirt'!

Try a black sleeveless V-neck and plain black pumps. That way, you're not exploding with print and the eyes go straight to your skirt. Keep your hair simple too, like try just straightening it.

I think a white vest top would look amazing. Kate Moss for Topshop have gorgeous ones however to get more drinking money Primark is really good.

Try a large statement necklace to funk it up if you think white might be too plain try the website below (ASOS).

Wear a black fitted or semi fitted top it'll work great i have a pair of Gray leopard print leggins and wear them with a black semi-fitted top skims a just below my backside and a pair of highleg gray boots and a metallic jacket i'm sure you can make up a similar look and it will be party friendly
