My hair is naturally a mousey blondie browniee and i want to get back to my natural colour but because its mousey its hard!

My hair is brown at the minute and my mousey roots are coming through but because of the contrast my roots look grey from far away

I am 15... when you look closely you can tell its mousey..But i just hope that from dyeing it hasnt ruined the natural colour :(

I desperatly want to get back to my natural colour and im off to the hair dressers next week

your using some sort of color or dye with ash tones, GET AWAY FROM THEM..try carmels, and golden blondes, they look so much more natural, just dont use anything with ash it looks gray

I have the exact same problem. I currently have my hair dyed red, I like the color, but when I wanted to go back to my natural color I had a stylist lift my hair a few shades lighter than I had it (brown) until it was only a few shades darker then my natural mousy blonde. Then she put in some thin, natural looking highlights. When it grows out a little, your roots won't be as noticeable. I kept getting fewer and fewer highlights until I was back to my original hair color. No hair dye is going to look just like your natural hair color, so your best bet is to find one as close as you can and try to gradually blend it into your roots as it grows out.

Girl, stop being so gloomy, you ARE pretty, i know i'm not a guy but i'm just telling you the truth. A lot of girls are only "pretty" because they wear 10lbs of makeup and dye their hair and guess what- that's not even them thats pretty. it's the fake image that guys find attractive.

I know you wanted guys to answer this, but you are not unfortunate or ugly. You have some nice features but you need to bring them out. Take care of yourself and be more confident. Maybe a trendy hairstyle or some cute clothes can help with your looks. You are NOT one of the ugly people, believe me, I've seen way worse. All of us girls have one body feature we love of ourselves and like to show off (though don't exaggerate). Best thing to do (this is what I do) is to tell the hairdresser to do your hair the way they think it should be. Then... you need to go wild with your makeup. Makeup is no good if noone sees it. =P

I'm sorry to drop in but I got tired of answering Car questions and couldn't help jumping in on this one..

First I'm 54 and been around. I've seen a lot of women who weren't even close to looking as good as you do, but they thought they did. The confidence that they displayed in theirselves showed like a beacon and that made them pretty..

And that's not just my opinion ,, It's proven fact.

You've got a lot going for you and as long as you light up that beacon you will SHINE so smile and have a good life..

You're not a bad looking woman, don't listen to those other people because they probably don't have confidence in themselves either.

My advice to you is to workout religiously, get your body in the best physical shape, get your hair done every two weeks, buy some new clothes that accent your body. I know you know how to put on makeup; you don't need a lot, just a little. Show some confidence in yourself and someone will notice you.

A few adjustments and you've got action......work with what you have, stop thinking you're ugly.......the man you start dating will be the man you least expect anyway.

Hi I am NOT a man but I think you are a pretty young lady! Don't put yourself down! I was very shy like you when I was your age too, do you belong to any groups like a church group? If not perhaps if you join one and get to know more people your age.

This works for all ladies, try a new way to wear your hair, you don't have to cut your hair it is a nice looking length. Get some pretty hair Barret's or rubber bands.

Go to your local store like CVS, Walgreen's or Rite Aid and buy a liquid make up foundation, they have all different skin tone colors, hold the bottle up to your hand to match the one closest to your skin tone. If you wear a touch of black liquid eyeliner on the outer edge of your upper and lower eye lids that enhances the eyes and if you want get some black mascara [don't get the water proof so it comes off easier ]with a touch of earth tone color blush and a nice earth tone color lipstick.

Please believe in yourself, learn to like yourself and tell yourself you are NOT ugly! Attitude changes everything! The more you believe in yourself, the more confident you will become and the more people will be attracted to you.

1. Your hair! Brush it or style it.

2. You look a little overweight. Pick up running, shed some pounds and get some feminine curves.

3. Your nose: this may be extreme but you would really benefit from rhinoplasty. Your nose will come out smaller and sharper, perkier.

4. Is it an overbite that you have or is it your lips? If it's an overbite, consider braces.

5. Put some makeup on!

Okay, I am not a guy, but I could just hear the pain and honesty coming through in your question.

You have some lovely features, pretty dark eyes, nice eyebrows that set off your eyes nicely; and beautiful full lips that a lot of women are paying to have.

You need to smile more and let your smile light up your face.

You look grim and may come across as being mean or distant because of that. If you train yourself to smile more, you will feel better and happier, it will become more natural to you.

You must have some women friends that can help you out with a makeover, or treat yourself to a spa day and get a new fresh haircut. A new hairstyle can really make a girl feel great, I just had some highlights put in for the winter and everyone has been telling me how great I look....it just makes you feel good.

You might want to take that literally and dress him like he was from 100 years ago (1907). Spats, a hat, a vest/suit coat, etc. If you don't want to take it that far (or your son might not!), definitely a cane would be a great prop. Glasses, a fake beard? -- these might be too much for such a little one to keep together. A sweater vest and high-waisted pants are a good bet-- you can probably find a great selection of 80's vests and pants that are your child's size at Goodwill or the Salvation Army, to cut down the cost. you need to use bleach, bottle dyes dont lift your hair colour enough making it yellow, ive done this before. jerome russell i think its called does a pack with bleaching powder and peroxide mix it together and there you go put all over and leave until it goes the right shade usually about 45 mins then rinse off. dont wash it off too early though as your hair will still be yellow the longer you leave it the lighter it will go. id use either 9% peroxide or 12% depending how light. pinks is done using 9% id say. it costs about 4.99 pounds and is available from chemists and superdrug, good luck x

Bleach it. Use a toner. It's pretty simple. Get the strongest bleach you can and leave it in for AN HOUR! Do not overshoot it, once it goes over an hour, it's not cool. Then, get a toner. You said white blonde, not just plain white, so I don't reccomend getting a white toner...Usually, hair will bleach that light. And if it doesn't, you can just get an icy blonde dye to go over it.

firstly, i must strongly advise that you DO NOT do this yourself. its a lengthy procedure and you could end up damaging your hair or burning your skin. go to your hairdresser and tell them you want to go platinum blonde. they will do a consultation and the procedure will involve bleaching and toning. if your hairdresser advises you against going so light its for a very good reason so please dont try for a second opinion. its only for your own health and safety. good luck x

also, most salons have junior hairdressers who can do it for half the price and they are always supervised . also your local vocational college will take appointments with their students and will only charge for the materials used, so its dirt cheap!

if you want to get your hair to the same shade as pinks (which is called platinum blonde by the way) then you will need to use a colour remover to safely and successfully remove the artificial pigment that you have put in with the dark hair dye (colorfix by robert craig if you live in the USA or schwarzkopf igora phantom if you live in the UK) this will more than likely leave your hair slightly orange/yellow. you will then and ONLY then need to bleach, it shouldn't have to be left on for long as you only need to bleach to the pale yellow stage (think of the inside of a banana skin, creamy pale yellow) :http://photobucket.com/albums/j157/plati... once you are at that stage then you are free to use a toner, i suggest born blonde toner 352 precious platinum as it is peroxide and ammonia free so it will not damage your hair any further than you probably already have: http://www.clairolprofessional.com/dispe...

maybe your hair wont go the colour you want because it has too many colours in it already lol. why dont you wait for all the previous dye colours to leave your roots and then try dyeing again.

ive been dying my hair since 7th or 8th grade, ive had all kinda of shades of colors in my hair, my current color is black with dark brown for the bangs, so it basically just blends together, my natural color is a blonde, and i really wants to dye the top half of my hair again and leave the rest black, but im not sure what to do, and how can i dye blonde over black, so if you could be kind enough to help me and tell me what color you think i should do

if you try to go blonde over dyed black or dark browns most likely you are gonna end up like i did-- orange, brassy damaged hair. you need to gradually lighten your hair thats the best way to do it or youre risking lots of damage and funky orange shade of hair. try going lighter within a few shades. i made that mistake before and had to cut a lot of my hair off so please be careful and go to a hairdresser who actually knows what theyre doing, if you decide you want to go blonde anyways. i would just try to keep lighting 1 or 2 shades within the color you have now until you get to the shade you like.

you will have to strip out your hair color!!!! no lightener (bleach) will get black out!!!!! and you will not be able to get it back really light blonde!!!! i'm a professional stylist and i recently had to do this to mine! we stripped it 5 times then put lightener on it and i still have a reddish brown color hair!!!! so, good luck with that!!!! make sure you get a liscensed stylist to do this for you!!!!

You can't dye blonde over black without bleach.

You'll have to bleach the top half of your hair. Then it'll go orange. So you need to buy a shade of blonde dye to tone the color (you'd have better luck doing a light brown, to counter the orange. Stay away from anything with red or yellow, sunny, auburn, reddish, golden,etc, in the name). If you want to bleach your own hair, get the lightest shade of blondissma with bleach in it. You can buy the bottle of hydrogen peroxide (diluted 10%) in the hair dye aisle, but it's a liquid, so it'll be very difficult to keep it out of half of your hair. When your hair is orange, you should condition it, and refrain from dying it for a day. Do the bleaching on a friday night, spend sat with orange hair and tone it on sunday. Otherwise you could completely fry your hair.

I highly recommend going to a salon, since do-it-yourself bleaching leaves an orange color. A salon will immediately apply a toner so you don't have to deal with a day of orangeness. Also, I have heard of several people losing hair from bleaching themselves. I've done it before, but it's a super messy job. My hair was ridiculously orange and spotty...I looked like a really ugly leopard.

I think the black and platinum is horribly overdone. I think a nice brown would complement the black.

**if you recently dyed your hair black, it's going to be a bugger to bleach. Trust me, been there. Black doesn't come out without hardcore bleach. i havent seen her in 3 years, my dads half sister,she a weird cat lady who never got married and has long grey hair. she belongs to an ashram.I tried being nice to her in the past she was mean, the more nice i was the meaner she became. Once i called to wish her a merry x-mas and tell her i love her, she got defensive and hung up the phone on me.

Now my Mom says she invited us to her apt for Thanksgiving, its the first thanksgiving shes ever done.

She told my Mom her oven is broken so she can only serve cold cuts and some rice.

The landlord has been trying to get her out of the apt, since he found out she doesnt live there (she owns a home) and rents this out,, She never invited us to the apt. I feel she may be using this to take photos or as proof that she lives there, may ask me to testify,, She has a court case going trying to prove she lives there.

Hi there. Go for a light brown or an even darker blond. Just be careful, natural hair is the nicest color of all, dyed hair always looks worse, I know that from experience. Lowlights look quite unnatural. Keep in mind your hair tone and stick with it... warm/golden or cool/ashy.

I think a light, natural toffee brown color would look great on you. Check out Hilary Duff's current brunette shade for a great example. Her color is dramatic and dark, but not so much that it overpowers her fair complexion.

Your hair is getting coarser. My hair used to be a lot like yours. Now, my hair is more coarse: thicker strands with soft waves. It used to be very fine. So fine that it would slide out of any type of ponytail holder. It was frustratingly smooth. I started using a semi-permanent hair color to "damage" my hair and make it more coarse. Now I don't have to do that anymore. I started getting a few gray hairs while I was a teenager. My mom had a gray streak by the time she graduated high school. I am not quite that bad, but most of the gray hair does appear to be near the front and top of my head.

In order to get your hair to seem smoother, you can use a deep conditioner once a week (I use Pantene's for dry/damaged hair). You'll want to condition your hair every time you shampoo it. At one point, I was using Pantene's shampoo and conditioner in one for dry/damaged hair and then their regular conditioner for dry hair after rinsing out the shampoo. It kept my hair less "wiry" by coating each strand with simethicone and the oils they use in the Pantene products. Suave has a million great products out there if you don't want to pay the prices of the more expensive shampoos and conditioners. If you use heat styling, you can get special conditioners or pre-styling products that will protect your hair and help it retain moisture. I use Suave's scrunching mousse and Pantene's leave-in conditioner. I used to use Infusium 23, but I can't find it anymore. One more thing you can do for your hair is use a hot oil or placenta treatment (they are sold side-by-side in most stores). I just got placenta treatment for the first time the other day and will be using it next time I wash my hair. I used my "S" wave-making hot iron the other day, and it dried out my hair so badly that I am desperate to find something to add some smoothness back. I'd compare my hair to Latina hair now. My husband is Latino, my sisters-in-law have hair that is just like mine, and my hair used to be too smooth, like I mentioned earlier.

But, hair getting coarse is just a way your hair ages. You'll find as you get even older that your hair will get more fine again. You'll also have thinning hair. (Especially if you do a lot of damage to it while you're younger.)

It depends. There are a lot of factors that can cause the color of hair to look different or actually change color. The sun can cause the hair to become lighter. In the winter my hair is a darker brown with subtle highlights of lighter brown. In the summer when I'm out in the sun, my hair lightens up to a reddish/brown with more pronounced highlights of blonde.

It also depends on your surroundings and what color of clothes you are wearing. In the summer if I wear an orange, yellow or red shirt it makes my hair appear more orange, blonde or auburn. If I wear a darker color it makes my hair appear more brown.

And finaly, I think grey contacts would look good on you. I love grey eyes, especially with black hair and tan skin, but it depends as you could already have pretty eyes as is.

and after u dye it when u wash ur hair use a conditoner thats made for dark colored hair, like reincarnate by lush, www.lush.com look under solid shampoos, you can always use a black henna from lush, but only after u have dyed ur hair and that will stop it from fading (which it wont because the salon will use a permenant dye) but it will also keep it dark and shiney.

why would you want to streak it with silver? Most women dye their hair to take the gray OUT. Yes, it would look like it's turning gray due to age. If you still want to do it, I suggest you go to the salon and have it done because dark hair does not take light colors very well at all. It will probably take a double processing, meaning you will be there at least 2 hours while they strip the color out of the hair you want dyed, then dye it.

Hello, I'm a hairdresser/salon owner.. sorry yours fleeced you, there a law unto themselves eh...lol I would suggest a nice and easy colour by clairol, sells in superdrug for about a fiver.. if your a base of a six I would recommend a champagne brown or maybe a mocha.. try to avoid reds or auburn's, as they tend to catch onto the white in the grey and give an uneven coverage..(looking pink or orange).. you could always use a semi permanent colour in between root touch ups.. good luck x

I dye my hair too and John Frieda made a COlor Glaze that you put in your hair after you wash it. I really love it and it really keeps my color. Of course, I have no gray, yet, but I would give it a try after you dye it again. I know that Loreal stuff is supposed to be pretty great. Some dyes will tell you to leave on longer for stubborn grays, you may want to leave it on an extra 10-15 minutes too if you haven't tried that yet.

Good luck and if all else fails, be proud of your grays. My mom is 48 and has some gray and she's hot! I think women that age naturally are totally beautiful!

I dye mine darker so people will not automatically treat me like I am stupid. But the original reason was to make my skin look whiter.

I think your hair works well with your skin tone now, but black would look nice too. Maybe go a little darker first and see how you like that first. Then if you don't like it as well you can go back lighter easier and with less damage to your hair. Good luck.

In the future, make sure you only color your hair every 6 weeks, no more. And, it is best to go to a professional. The products they use are very different from what you get at the drugstore.

If your hair is falling out you need to start cutting it because if it stays damaged the longer it grows, the worse its going to look. You don't have to chop it all off, start by trimming the ends once a month until you get to the healthy hair. Since you don't want to cut it at all AND U NEED TO CUT IT, do it in stages. There is a such thing as a conditioning hair color I use-to-use Henna (thats the short name you may know it because people use it to create temporary tatoos). Aphogee is also a good product line. Yeah it can look nice, but dying hair black, can damage your hair extremely if you want o go lighter later. I colored it black and then it took ages to grow it out and i wanted to be dark blond so i had to have it bleached and it looked dead... very limp. So be careful.

I'm pretty sure that you're just going grey. People in my family go grey at thirty; so, not until 45 is impressive. If it really bothers you, why don't you want to dye it? If you want to hold out and then you decide to dye it, it will be much more obvious. If you don't want to dye it because you think that people will think you're gay or something, you could do it gradually until you get it back to your "natural" color. I hope this helps. These 2 were best friends til about 2 weeks ago then they started fighting til we seperated them. Now they hang onto each other and now bite me. We love them both and don't want to get rid of either one but something has to give. They are house raised and even sleep with us. They have even gotten into fights under the covers in the middle of the night. NOW I have grey hair and I'm pulling it out. What do I do???? I've even thought about muzzles for then both BUT I have to leave them sometimes during the day , so how would they eat or drink?? Thanks for reading about my problems. I know female dogs will hump even if spayed to show dominance...maybe theyre fighting for dominance..i know JRT females tend to not get along with other female dogs but its weird this just suddenly happened! Poor you!! You know, i wonder if your reaction isnt fueling them...(and your reaction is so understandable!!..so hard to stay calm when this happens). I wonder though, if when they begin a fight, if you calmy walk over and spray them with water if something as simple as that would work?

They are fighting for which one is going to be dominate and neither is willing to give it up. You have a real problem on your hands. There are muzzels you can buy that the dogs can eat and drink but not bite. Terriers are very territorial dogs and can be hard headed when trying to stop them from aggressive behavior. We have an American Hairless Terrier that turned 1 year in October. He is becoming more vicious around other people when they are in our house and yard. We have to keep him penned up away from them when they are here.

If you can, separate them for a period of time. By keeping them from one another they will both develop a gratitude for companionship. The saying "you don't miss what you have until it's gone" is true with animals too. I bet if you do this for a few days, maybe a week or two, the two of them will be the best of friends once again.

I would contact a dog trainer and get some one on one for these dogs. They're biting each other, and they're biting you---it's aggression, and it could be dangerous, especially if they bite someone outside the family. I would keep them seperate for now, try crating them both. Probably not a good idea to have them sleeping in your bed either.

They are trying to establish a "pecking Order" (dominance, alpha) This can happen between two dogs in a larger pack because of the hierarchy with in a pack. Is the other dog the alpha...usually they take care of the disputes or start them which sometimes can be less obvious to the owner. You can not allow them to fight but the less you do the quicker it will stop. Never let them get a rise out of you. Remain calm and discipline with a quick touch to the neck when you see that they are getting ready to start something. If they do fight put them both in submissive (on their backs belly up with head down) until they submit. Don't be zealous with this but calm and unaffected thru/out. If none of this works go to a handler. They won't actually KILL each other but will put on a good show. Keep them on leashes if you have to.

I had this very problem with 2 female GSDs. They got along great at first but as they got older the fighting started. I muzzled one for a time as she seemed to be the one starting the fights. There are muzzles that let the dog eat and drink while wearing the muzzle. I tried everything I could think of including calming medication, obedience training, seperating the dogs for days at a time and nothing worked.

They really started hurting each other. I had no other option but to find another home for one of them. She is now a very happy dog living with one other male dog, she just can't be around other females.

You need to get a trainer asap! This is incredibly serious. As another stated, it is quite possible that these two just can't live together. A trainer will observe them and let you know if this can be corrected or not. In the meantime, don't bother with muzzles, just keep them separated at all times. Even with muzzles on they can give eachother dirty looks and push eachother around. It's better that they have no interaction than have the opportunity to be aggressive.

I hate to tell you this, but I have over 25 years experience with terriers and you will have to keep them separated for life or place one of them in another home. Female terriers are hard to keep together and once the fight is on, it will be a fight to the death. I had this happen to one of mine when I was out of town and told the person keeping them not to put them together. You will never be able to trust them around each other again. Sorry.
